Le 22 décembre au matin, le Marion était de retour. cela signifiait la fin de la passation de consignes et la fin d'un mois de folie avec les anciens VCAT qui finissaient (enfin diront ils) leur hivernage.

La veille au soir, soirée des "partants" dans une grotte avec pour thème "Grrr". Autant dire que le reveil à 5h du matin a été difficile. Surtout quand on apprend qu'il va falloir monter au sommet de l'ile pour accompagner des scientifiques a la recherche d'escargots... Quelle expedition! Et on est rentré bredouille!

Les 3 jours d'Op se sont passés super vite, voir trop vite et le temps des adieux sur la DZ sont arrivés...

Un mois ca peut paraitre court, mais un mois 24h/24 ca commence a faire pas mal!! A notre arrivées ils étaient la, c'est comme ca qu'on a connu Ams et c'est comme ca qu'on l'a aimé des le debut, pas facile de l'imaginer autrement (mais rassurez vous, on survie tres bien!!!)

Apres les adieux, les larmes, tous les souhaits de bonne continuation, on s'est retrouvé a 26 sur base, les touristes etaient repartis et enfin on retrouvait notre calme, notre petit rythme tranquille et notre vie pepere!

The 22nd in the morning (very ealy, too early!) the Marion was back! That meaned the end of the adaptation time and the formation, the end of a crazy months with the old volunteers leaving (finally they would say) the island, after one year spent here.

The night before we made a "leaving people" party, in a cavern dressed like prehistoric guys! When i woke up at 5 it was not easy, and it has been very hard when i knew i had to go to the top of the island as a guide for scientist looking for snail. We found nothing, just sun burn and a big head ache (who said hang over???)

The 3 days of Op ran very fast, too fast and it was time to say goodbye on the DZ. One month seems to be very short, but 24h/24h, that means a lot! When we arrived, they were here, they are part of the first amsterdam we knew and it was hard to imagine Ams without them. But be sure, we are surviving pretty well!

After the goodbye, the tears, all the best wishes for the future, we were 26 on the base, tourist left, and our calm, our quiet rythm of living were back
